Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Now, this was not the first time in my life I was like, on a treadmill. Just my first time at the gym I have had a membership with for over a year. Because it is just after the first of the year, the gym is kind of crowded. The indoor track is full of people. I mostly joined the gym because of the indoor track but now I hardly use it. There are races coming up I want to do…another Warrior Dash, the Cincinnati Flying Pig (half) Marathon, the Run for Your Life 5k (I really REALLY wanted to do the one in Indy and I even in my HUGE excitement about a race in-which zombies chase you shared the race and my excitement with LeAnn and then she was all stoked like I and then I realized FUUUUUUUUDGEEEE I will be back in New York for wedding (maid of honor status whut whut) and now I am uber bummed BUT there is one in Pittsburgh and I am quite seriously considering it…le sigh) and there is also something called the Ruckus Run I want to check out. Plus various local 5Ks. Anyways, I figure a treadmill is a kind of good place to start. But alas, I am the epitome of clumsy and am quite terrified of treadmills. Although, my terror of The Treadmill probably has something to do with the slightly old and slightly janky treadmill we have collecting dust in the basement. That sucker will stop working while you are in the middle of a FULL ON RUN and nearly cause you to lose a tooth. So, yeah, first day on the treadmill at the gym. I wore my crappy sneakers to the gym and so after my thirty minutes on the treadmill, when I got off, my feet were sort of numb? Like, I felt like a Clydesdale only my huge hoofs were numb and when I left the gym I was clip-clocking around unbalanced. Whatever. The good news is, while on the treadmill, I only tripped once.
